The new Warhammer 40K game is on the horizon. So far, it hasn’t been very available to the general public. Now, however, you can sign up for the Dawn of War 3 Open Beta. You’ll be able to pre-load from April 18th. The actual beta will be live from April 21st (10 AM PST) to April 24th (also 10 AM PST). Yes, it ends just three days before the full game launches. Also, keep in mind that you’ll need a Relic Link account.

The open beta won’t have the all of the features from the full game, while others will be limited. You’ll have access to five elites and six doctrines per faction. You’ll be able to try out three multiplayer maps and play either 1v1, 2v2 or 3v3. Matches against AI will be in the full game, but not in the beta; you’ll have to play against other people. You can unlock and try out Masters of War Elite Skins, but you won’t be able to keep them. When the full game comes out, you’ll either get the for free through pre-orders or buy separately. All progress will be reset once the Dawn of War open beta is over.

Since the open beta is starting so late, it’s safe to assume that any issues you might encounter in the beta won’t necessarily get fixes by launch. This is probably a server test, though some minor polishes will probably happen between the end of the beta and the full game launch.

Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War 3 is coming out on April 27, 2017 for Microsoft Windows.
