Crash Bandicoot Keeps Splatoon 2 From Top Spot in UK Sales Chart
Splatoon 2 launched last week, on Friday, to some pretty impressive sales. Over the weekend, it managed to climb all the way to the second place of the UK sales charts. It wasn’t enough to dethrone Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, though. This could change easily this week, though, since Splatoon 2 launched so late in the week. Other games on the list include GTA V, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Overwatch, etc.
The Crash Bandicoot remaster is once again in the top spot of UK Sales charts. The week before, it was Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, while Crash went down to third place. Now, the remaster of FF XII is down to seventh, while Crash reigns supreme again. Even Splatoon 2 didn’t manage to dethrone the legendary marsupial. Yes, bandicoots are marsupials from the Australia-New Guinea region. There, you learned a thing.
To be fair to Splatoon 2, it still has a pretty good shot. Since the cut-off day for the weekly figure monitoring is Saturday, and the game launched on Friday, it might yet outsell Crash. Given that two more Nintendo Switch games, Breath of the Wild and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, are featured often in the top-ten, it’s a pretty real possibility. We’ll ahve to wait until next week and see. The other games on the list feature, as per usual, GTA V, which never seems to leave the top-ten, Overwatch, FIFA 17, Fallout 4, and Lego Worlds.
Here’s the list of the top-ten best-selling games in the UK for last week, ending with July 22nd. The figures don’t include digital downloads, only the number of physical copies sold.
