Bridge Constructor Portal Announcement Trailer Released

Portal is coming back in the strangest way. Nobody could have seen this coming. No, it’s not Portal 3. It’s not even an update for one of the previous games. Instead, Valve has partnered up with Headup Games to launch a new version of Bridge Constructor with portals. Have you ever played Bridge Constructor and thought to yourself “Man, this game is missing portals to make it complete”? Well, congratulations, your idea has now been made flesh. And, to be perfectly honest, it sounds kinda fun and interesting.

The announcement trailer, which dropped very recently, doesn’t reveal much about the game. It starts off with a white Aperture Science truck and a greeting from none other than GLaDOS. Yes, it appears that the beloved robotic villain is making a comeback (as well as the turrets), and she’ll be observing your work. After that, the truck drives off of a cliff and into a portal. It shoots out from the other side and knocks the turrets down. The truck then drives onto a bridge that collapses and drops it next to GLaDOS. It looks like a ton of fun. Though, to be fair, the gameplay images on Steam do reveal that the game will look very much like the regular Bridge Constructor, just with a coat of Portal finish.

Bridge Construction Portal is coming out on December 20th, 2017, for Windows, Linux, MacOS, and mobile devices. The console versions (for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch) will come out later on, in early 2018. You can check out the announcement trailer below.
