Gearbox have released a new cinematic character trailer for Borderlands 3. The person we get to meet this time around is Amara the Siren, a hot-headed trouble-seeker that loves getting into fights. As a result, she is a hero to the people of Pandora, and strikes fear in the hearts of the bad guys.

Borderlands 3 Amara Cinematic Character Trailer Released

Amara the Siren is indeed the next in line from the cast of Borderlands 3 to get a character trailer. Like the other such videos from Gearbox, it is completely cinematic, but it does still give you a pretty good idea of who this character is and what her special abilities are. On the Borderlands website, you can find a more detailed breakdown of Amara and her powers. Basically, she can do a ton of fun stuff, including sacrificing weapon damage to deal elemental damage.

Now, I’m not gonna lie, I really like this kind of setup for a character. Judging by the trailer, Amara is already a hero. Not just a hero, but somebody who causes incredible fear in the ne’er-do-wells of Pandora. However, Amara seems to only do it for the thrill. As she puts it, she’s always looking for a fight. That’s an interesting concept for a complex character. A hero, yes, but for arguably wrong reasons. I wonder how, and if at all, Gearbox will develop that further.

Borderlands 3 is coming out on September 13th, 2019. It’s already up for pre-orders, if that’s your kink. You can pick it up on Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4. On PC, you’ll also be able to play via Google Stadia. And speaking of PC, don’t forget that the game is gonna be an Epic Store exclusive for six months after launch. I know that tends to rustle some jimmies, so just keep that in mind, mkay?
