Hazard Zone in Battlefield 2042 Leaked by Dataminer

As I’ve said already, the Battlefield 2042 Hazard Zone mode info has been leaked by a dataminer, Temporyal. They’ve uncovered a number of things, so let’s dive in. First of all, it seems like Hazard Zone is going to be a kind of mix between Escape from Tarkov and Hunt: Showdown. It seems that the Orbital map will have built-in support for this mode, but there’s no info on a map that could be exclusive to Hazard Zone. Apparently, you’ll be searching for “data drives & crashed satellites” to collect intel, with ammo stations and uplinks dotted around the map to help you out. The latter will let you spawn things like an armed robot dog or an ATV.

Of course, there will be plenty of obstacles on your path, including other players and AI enemies armed with a Jaguar EBRC or HDT Storm. They’ll apparently also be able to summon support, and there might even be AI bosses to defeat to complete objectives and get rewards. Leaving the map is done by helicopter extraction, which you can miss if you’re not careful. Then, of course, there are various perks and stuff you can unlock to make things more manageable for yourself. Take a gander at Temporyal’s Twitter for more details.

Battlefield 2042 is coming out on October 22nd, 2021. You’ll be able to play it on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. We will, of course, keep covering any interesting news about the game as it comes out, so stay tuned.
