Pen Cannoc Infinite Loading Screen Bug in Mount & Blade 2 Bannerlord

The infinite loading screen bug in Mount & Blade 2 Bannerlord Pen Cannoc is one of the most major issues in the game. Whether you try to enter the town, or are just walking around, you are in danger of the loading screen eternal. The only fix that currently exists is to restart the game and avoid Pen Cannoc entirely. No matter what you try to do there, you might come to regret it. The problem with the place are well-known, so one assumes the developers will take care of it as soon as possible. In the meantime, we recommend staying away from Pen Cannoc until there’s a patch that fixes it.

Mount & Blade 2 Bannerlord Sea Raider Camp Loading Screen & Crash Bug

The Sea Raider Camp in Bannerlord has two possible bugs you’ll encounter – one with an infinite loading screen when trying to enter, and one where the game flat-out crashes if the quest times out. So, much like Pen Cannoc, it’s probably best to just leave the place alone for the time being. If you encounter the infinite loading screen, just restart the game.

If, on the other hand, you let the mission expire, the game will crash to desktop, and it’ll be very difficult to get out of it, even if you restart the game. Instead, you might have to delete your save file from the game’s folder, and start afresh. So, until the developers fix the issues with the Sea Raider Camp, best to stay away from it.

Bannerlord Crashing After Battles Issue – How to Fix

To fix the bug where Bannerlord crashes after battles, you have to revert to an older save. Basically, what happens is, the game can crash after you win a battle, take the loot and prisoners, and hit Done. That particular save file is going to keep crashing no matter what you do. Instead, you have to load up an earlier save, before the battle. An important piece of advice: save obsessively throughout this game, and don’t have only one save file, because you never know when it might start crashing. You don’t want to lose ours of progress due to the game’s omnipresent jankiness.

Random Crashes in Mount & Blade 2 Bannerlord – What to Do?

There’s a number of possible causes for Mount & Blade 2 Bannerlord crashing, seemingly at random. For example, if you have the Army of Poachers quest, or the Sea Raider Camp quest, and let them expire, the game will keep crashing for you. If you can, revert to an older save. Otherwise, you’ll have to go delete your save file manually, and start again.

One thing that you can also try to do is download and install .NET framework 4.7.2, or .NET framework 4.8, whatever the latest for you might be. It seems that the outdated version can mess with the game in some weird way. That said, this is not a guaranteed fix at all. The best you can do is keep trudging along and wait for the developers to fix this mess.

Disconnected from Bannerlord Multiplayer Error

A lot of players keep getting disconnected from the multiplayer in Mount & Blade 2 Bannerlord, and wondering what to do about it. From what we can tell, the issue is that the servers aren’t working properly. That’s not exactly uncommon or unexpected from games in early access. Still, the fact of the matter is that there are currently a lot of server issues in Bannerlord, and it’s gonna get worse. The game is doing really well on Steam currently, and the more people try to get in, the more strain they put on the servers. Things will probably get better over time, so all you have to do is be patient and keep trying.

Mount & Blade 2 Bannerlord Switching to Windowed Mode at Launch

A number of players have been experiencing an issue where the game switches to Windowed Mode on its own at launch. While it certainly is annoying, it’s not the worst problem that the game can put you through. We don’t know of any particular fix for it as of now. The only thing you have to do is switch from Windowed Mode into whatever your preference is. Again, since this is a title in early access, there’s plenty of room for improvement. I’d imagine that the developers will eventually take care of this problem, too. Until then, though, you’re stuck with the game as-is.

Black Rectangles Visual Glitch in Mount & Blade 2 Bannerlord

There’s a visual glitch in Mount & Blade 2 Bannerlord where basically every character turns into a bunch of black rectangles, including you. To fix this problem, you can try and update all your graphics drives, and that might make the rectangles go away. There’s no guarantee that it will work, unfortunately. If it doesn’t, the only thing you can do is restart the game and hope that the glitch goes away.
