Shadow of War Blade of Galadriel Story Expansion Now Available

The Blade of Galadriel story DLC for Middle-Earth: Shadow of War is now out. It puts you in the shoes of Eltariel, Galadriel’s Elven assassin on a mission to hunt down the Nazgul. Pretty difficult mission, that. You’ll also face new Nemesis characters, Orcs that you can add to your ranks in the main story campaign, and more.

Shadow of War Blade of Galadriel Story Expansion Now Available

It’s finally time for the Blade of Galadriel story expansion DLC to come out for Middle-Earth: Shadow of War. It comes out today, February 6th. Of course, in order to access the Blade of Galadriel, you’ll have to buy it. If, on the other hand, you’ve purchased the expansion pass for Shadow of war, the DLC will open for you automatically. In the Blade of Galadriel expansion, you’ll play as the Elven assassin, Eltariel. Your job is to go to Mordor and hunt yourself some Nazgul. That sounds kinda cool, honestly.

So, what kind of content can you look forward to in Blade of Galadriel? Well, according to the post on the Shadow of War forum, you’ll get to play as Eltariel for the first time and fight the Nazgul. Eltariel wields “dual Elven blades”, and also has the Light of Galadriel. You’ll be mastering “deadly new combat abilities, skills, and gear.” You’ll also battle new Nemesis characters, and discover more about the Nazgul and their history. Speaking of Orcs, the DLC includes eight new unique Legendary Orcs to join your ranks in the main campaign. Last, but not least, you can unlock a new skin for Eltariel, which you can also use in the main campaign.

Along with the Blade of Galadriel DLC, the developers have prepared a lot of free content updates, as well as some fixes, which you can read in full by clicking the link above. In short, here’s what you can expect. There are enhancements for the Nemesis System, upgrades for the photo mode, player skins, an update for training orders, and more.
