How to Get Spiderman in Marvel's Avengers

Marvel’s Avengers Spider-Man is one of the playable characters in the game, and people are wondering how to get him. This is pretty understandable, considering how popular the character is. However, there are some catches to playing as Spider-Man in Marvel’s Avengers. We’re going to be discussing them in our How to Get Spiderman in Marvel’s Avengers guide, as well as providing you with a list of confirmed playable characters.

Marvel’s Avengers Spider-Man – How to Get?

To get Spider-Man in Marvel’s Avengers, you have to get the game on PlayStation 4. Yes, due to Sony still owning the rights to the character, they can block the friendly wall-crawler from appearing on other platforms. It’s… not exactly the most satisfying of arrangements for the consumer, but that’s capitalism for you. Will Spider-Man end up being a timed exclusive? Maybe, but I wouldn’t bet on it.

With that said, even those of you that are playing Avengers on PS4 are going to have to wait a while to play as Spidey. Crystal Dynamics have announced that he’ll be making his debut in the game some time in early 2021. There’s not exact launch date at the time of writing. On the bright side, Spider-Man will be available “at no additional cost to owners of the base game.” Now, isn’t that nice?

All Playable Characters in Marvel’s Avengers

There are currently six playable characters in Marvel’s Avengers: Kamala Khan (aka Ms Marvel), Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, and Black Widow. As we’ve already discussed, Spider-Man is also in the pipeline for next year, but only for PlayStation 4 players. There’s two more confirmed playable characters which will be available for everyone: Kate Bishop and Clint Burton, aka Hawkeye and Hawkeye. You know, everyone’s favorites. There are rumors swirling about Black Panther and / or Ant-Man joining the roster, but there’s no evidence of that.
