Horizon Zero Dawn Launch Times Revealed
Horizon Zero Dawn is an open world action RPG set in a world where machines have taken over the reins. It’s going to be released exclusively on Playstation 4, in a little more than a week. Sony have put up a countdown timer on their website, in order to let you track the days, hours and minutes until release. If you were planning on having a long play session as soon as it’s the game’s released, be sure to check out our timetable.
When is Horizon Zero Dawn launching?
If you want to look at the numbers steadily decreasing, you should check out the Playstation website. It seems like the website is only dedicated to the US launch, and it says the game will go live at 9PM PST on February 27th (12AM EST on February 28th).
We have no idea what this means for people on the other side of the ocean – the European release was scheduled for March 1st last time it was mentioned. Visiting the website above from Europe shows the release time as 6AM CEST on February 28th, which is the same time North America will be getting it. Either one could be true, but until Sony clears it up, don’t get your early release hopes up.
If you are from the US, you can do a couple of “quests” on the website. Take part in two “hunts”, and you’ll receive a couple of exclusive avatars. Basically, you have to watch a couple of videos – one related to the countdown, the other to the story – and you’ll end up with pictures of Rost and a Watcher to use as your PSN avatars.
If you’ve preordered the game, you’ll be able to download it before release, so you can start playing right away. If not, the reviews will start coming in soon, so you’ll be able to see whether it’s the kind of thing you enjoy.
