Hogwarts Legacy is the upcoming open-world game set in the Harry Potter universe, roughly a century before the events of the main series. In it, we control a Hogwarts student as they explore the school grounds, interact with students, teaching staff, and various magical creatures, and try to solve the game’s many secrets. It sounds very faithful to the style and tone of the HP books and movies. The game is coming in early February 2023, and if you have already bought it, you’re no doubt wondering if you are going to be able to preload Hogwarts Legacy on PS5, PC & Xbox Series X. Here’s everything we know about the preload process on these gaming platforms, including dates and download sizes.
How to Preload Hogwarts Legacy on PS5
If you have purchased the Deluxe Edition of the game on the PS5, you will be able to begin preloading the game this February 5th, 2023. The game is going to take up 79.54 GB, so make sure that you have enough free space on your PS5 for the installation.
How to Preload Hogwarts Legacy on Xbox Series X/S
As of Wednesday, January 25th, 2023, you already have the option of preloading Hogwarts Legacy on Xbox Series X and S devices. When it comes to file size, for the Xbox Series X, this is approximately 76GB, while on the Xbox Series S devices, it is a smaller ~50GB. So, you can already preload the game on next-gen Xbox, which will save you the hassle of downloading it when it comes out and enable you to play it much faster on release date.
Hogwarts Legacy PC Preload
We still don’t know when HL is going to be available for pre-load on the PC. It could be that PC users won’t have this option. In any case, we will add the date and time when we know more.
