When is Mortal Kombat 1 Crossplay Coming Out, Release Date

According to a relatively recent live stream, MK1 will get crossplay at some point in February 2024, although the exact release date has not been announced yet. We’ll be sure to update the guide with more information when it comes out. All we know for now is that the developers talked about crossplay between PlayStation, Xbox and PC. There’s been no mention of the Nintendo Switch version of Mortal Kombat 1 whatsoever. I assume this is because the game just isn’t the same there; they had to finagle a bunch of stuff to make it run even remotely passably on Nintendo’s platform. I’d wager Switch players would be at quite the disadvantage compared to everyone else, which is why they won’t be able to join the fun. I don’t know, I’m just guessing here.

So, yeah, that’s all we know about the release date of the crossplay in MK1 or Mortal Kombat 1. Again, we’ll be sure to add more details once they become available. In the meantime, we do have to mention that the live steam we mentioned was meant to promote the release of Quan Chi, the paid DLC character that launched in December of 2023. As far as we can tell, there has been zero new info on the crossplay since. We only know that it’s only gonna be on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X. And that’s fine; my Switch is a machine for Nintendo games, and that it does perfectly.
