Water Elemental Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous
Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is out, and, as is customarily for the system, it is filled with all manner of difficult enemies, such as the Water Elemental at the beginning of the game. In fact, if you have tutorials turned on (and we recommend you do, even if you are an experienced Pathfinder player, since WotR has many new systems you may not be familiar with), once you approach the door leading to this enemy, the game will inform you that special Dangerous Enemies exist in the game. These are completely optional and function on the basis of high risk/high reward. Meaning, if you do manage to defeat them, the rewards will be worth it. This Water Elemental Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous guide will show you how to take on this particular foe.
How To Defeat The Water Elemental Pathfinder WotR
You will be able to battle this enemy very early on in the game. It functions as a good measurement of your character and party build, strategy, and overall understanding of the game, since it is very difficult to defeat it just by wildly rushing in and attempting to hack it to bits. Of course, how hard of a time you will have with it depends on some other factors, too. These include the class of your main character, whether you’ve chosen Lann or Wenduag, and the difficulty selected.
And now on to the fight itself. Before heading into the room, make sure that all of your characters are at full health. Also, don’t be shy about buffing up your party members beforehand. These include special abilities, scrolls, spells, and so on. Anything which will give you that much-needed edge. The Water Elemental itself has a lot of immunities: poison, stunned, sleep, paralyzed, critical hits, so don’t rely on any of these. Also, it has 5 damage reduction. All in all, it’s a challenge for any party.
The best strategy here is to keep it pinned down with your melee fighters – Seelah and Camelia, maybe the Main Character, too, if they can hold their own in frontline combat. For tough battles such as this, it’s best to enter turn-based combat (default T), since this will give you greater control. Keep whittling the Water Elemental’s health down, while paying close attention not to let your own melee fighter’s health drop too low. Use every available resource at your disposal. And, if all else fails, you can always turn down the difficulty to get through the fight.
