The Last of Us initially came out way back in 2013. The game was an immediate success, with both players and critics praising the game’s story, characters, and themes. A sequel was inevitable, and The Last of Us Part 2 was released in 2020, to similar success. Of course, computer technology – and especially graphics – have come a long way since almost ten years ago, so developer Naughty Dog and publisher Sony have decided to spruce up The Last of Us Part 1 with a brand new remake that’s going to make full use of PlayStation 5’s powerful hardware. When Does The Last of Us Part 1 Remake Come Out
The Last of Us Part 1 Remake is scheduled to come out for the PlayStation 5 this Friday, September 2nd, 2022. It is going to release at 12 AM ET / 12 AM BST. If you have pre-ordered it, then the game is already available to preload. It’s a 68 GB download, and it’s advisable that you do this, as you will be able to play the game much more quickly on release date, instead of waiting to download it all then.
And if you haven’t pre-ordered the game, you can still do so. There are two editions – the Standard and Deluxe. The Standard Edition comes with The Last of Us Part I (PS5) and the Left Behind Prequel Chapter, and costs $69.99. The Deluxe Edition is made up of The Last of Us Part I (PS5), the Left Behind Prequel Chapter, Two skill upgrades (early unlock), Pistol/rifle upgrade (early unlock), Explosive arrows (early unlock), Dither Punk Filter (early unlock), Speedrun Mode (early unlock), and Six weapon skins (early unlock).
