The Finals Score Tie Breaks, How Do Tiebreakers Work?
How do tie breaks work in The Finals? The exciting new team-based first-person shooter, The Finals, was officially launched last week. The game has been described as a breath of fresh air in the FPS genre thanks to its unique-but-familiar design, smooth gameplay, innovative mechanics, and focus on well-executed environment destruction elements. And while most of what the game has to offer is easy to understand, there are some aspects that are confusing players. For example, how does the game decide score tiebreakers in The Finals? Here’s what we know about this.
How Do Tie Breaks Work The Finals?
Let me be perfectly frank with you from the get-go. We are not 100% sure how The Finals decides score tie breaks. Hence, everything you will read below is just our speculation. However, those assumptions are based on various scores we’ve seen from other players as well as some of our own tiebreaks. It is a small sample size, admittedly, but that’s all we currently have. So, what do we know?
Surprisingly often, matches in The Finals’ quick cash game mode would end up in a 3-way tie. When time runs out, and each team is left with 10,000 cash, what happens? How is a winner? Here’s what we know based on the samples we got:
- It’s not based on a total amount of eliminations.
- It’s not based on your team’s K/D ratio.
- The Finals tie breaks winner is also not decided by who won the last Cash Box.
- It has nothing to do with total combined score (Combat, Support & Objective Points).
- The winner is also not decided by the individual best player in the match.
So, for now, these are all of the factors that we know are not taken into consideration when the winner is decided in The Finals tie breaks. Hence, it’s either some “hidden score” that determines the winner, or it is simply completely random. Some players speculate that a Death Match event has something to do with it, but we are not sure in what way. We will make sure to update this article as soon as we learn more.
