Terraria Shellphone Explained
Even though it is over a decade old, Terraria is still being worked on. The latest major update to the game is called, very appropriately, The Labor of Love. This update has continued the trend of adding new things to the game. One of these new additions is the Shellphone. This is an insanely useful gadget, which combines the functionalities of the Cell Phone, the Magic Conch, and the Demon Conch all in one device. If you are interested in learning more about the Shellphone, including how to get and use and what to do if it isn’t working, our Terraria Shellphone Explained guide is here to tell you all about it.
How to Get & Use Shellphone in Terraria
To get the Shellphone, you need to have its base components first. This means that you have to combine the Cell Phone, Magic Conch, and Demon Conch, at the Tinkerer’s Workshop. The Demon Conch can be acquired by fishing in lava, the Magic Conch as a random drop from Sandstone Chests, Oasis Crates, and Mirage Crates, and the Cell Phone is crafted from PDA + Ice Mirror. Once you have crafted the Shellphone, you can then use it to teleport between four locations – home, spawn point, the Ocean, and the Underworld.
This is its most obvious function, but besides that, it can also display some other very useful information, such as time, moon phase, elevation, weather, DPS, and so on. Basically, whatever the Cell Phone could do and display, the Shellphone can as well.
Terraria Shellphone Not Working Fix
Some players are having trouble getting the Shellphone to work. Normally, the button which you use to open chests should be able to cycle between locations. However, if that isn’t the case, then the only way to get it to work is to highlight it in your inventory, and then start pressing random buttons until you get lucky and find the one that works.
