Reina is the latest character to be introduced in Tekken, making her debut in Tekken 8. Thanks to her intruiging design and line delivery, many fans are curious about her. Who is Reina in Tekken 8
As already mentioned, Reina is the newest Tekken character. Also known as the Purple Lightning, it isn’t hard to see why she has this nickname. Using a mix of Taido and Mishima-style karate, her moves are quick and she also apparently has the Mishima electricity in many of her moves. She also dresses in purple and her black hair ends in purple tips. While we still don’t know much about her personality, backstory, and character, it appears that she is going to be an evil antagonist in the series, and most likely connected to the Mishima clan in some way.
Tekken 8 Reina Voice Actor
Reina’s Japanese Voice Actor in Tekken 8 is Asami Seto. A young voice actress born in 1993, she has had many roles in both anime and video games. Her most recognizable roles are Nobara Kugisaki in Jujutsu Kaisen, Shino Madarame in Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, Kujou Sara in Genshin Impact, and Mari in Ghostwire: Tokyo. She was announced as the VA for Reina in the (Japanese) tweet below.

Reina Trailer
Directly below, you can see the Reina Tekken 8 reveal trailer which was recently released. The trailer doesn’t tell us a lot about Reina’s role in the upcoming game, but it’s obvious that it is going to be a very interesting one. In any case, we are going to need to wait a bit more to see what this is all about, as Tekken 8 is scheduled to release on January 26th, 2024.
