The Escape from Tarkov Halloween 2023 event is finally here. And it comes with a bang, as fans almost universally agree that it’s a great way to freshen up the experience. However, players have not exactly been given any instructions. Namely, the event triggers without telling us what we need to do. And while this might be exciting, it can also be rather confusing if you just want to complete the event. Hence, we’re here to clear out any ambiguity. Read on.

Tarkov Cultist Boss Zryachiy

Zryachiy, the Cultist Boss recently added to the game, will now spawn on every map in the game during Halloween 2023. In the beginning, he will be friendly, and he will not attack you. In fact, he’ll even drop useful loot to help you. However, some players can use this to their advantage. They can eliminate him and grab the better loot. This will lock extract sites to all other players except for you! Hence, you can safely extract. Nevertheless, the real fun has just begun, as you have started the Tarkov ritual.

Escape from Tarkov Ritual in Process Explained

Once somebody finishes off the “friendly” Zryachiy, it will trigger the Cultist event. You will see the Ritual in Process message and a countdown. You will have exactly seven minutes to stop the ritual, or the Cultist will summon the vengeful Zryachiy. In order to stop the ritual, head toward the massive blue beam of light/fire shooting from the ground towards the sky. It’s impossible to miss it since the day will turn to a dark night, and the blue beam will clearly stand out in the night.

How to Defeat the vengeful Zryachiy Cultist Boss in Tarkov

Finally, if you have failed to stop the Tarkov ritual, you will need to deal with the vengeful Zryachiy. And this version of the cultist boss is almost immortal. While not exactly unkillable, it will be extremely hard to eliminate him for several reasons:

• The vengeful Zryachiy has around 42,000 Health, with each of his limbs, head and thorax sitting at 6,666 HP.
• Upon the Ritual completion, all players will receive a debuff that will constantly jam their weapons.

As you can see, in order to eliminate him, you will have to have a team of extremely well-prepared and organized players who will be able to deal with this monstrosity. While we can not confirm this, some players claim that the double barrel, the Simonov SKS, and the PPSh-41 are the only weapons that are not jamming. Weapons like grenade launchers and revolvers are also apparently good against the vengeful Zryachiy. Hence, you might use them as well. So there you have it.
