Where to Find Stoicite & Dowdy Armor Kernel in Xenoblade Chronicles 3

To find Stoicite and Dowdy Armor Kernel in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 for Fox in Colony 9, you will have to explore the Aetia Region. Both of these materials spawn in this general area. Obviously, we have to narrow it down a little bit. We managed to find our first Dowdy Armor Kernel very early in the game, in Everblight Plain, on one of the cliffs. We found another one on a cliff to the west of Riccalo Pond. It’s to the southwest of the first Soldier Husk that you come across. Check out the screenshots below to see where Dowdy Armor Kernel spawned for us. They look like a cog when you approach them.

AS for the Stoicite, we found one northwest of Colony 9, just outside of the town. The other one was all the way north from Colony 9. Again, use the screenshots below in order to make it easier to navigate. They look like little clusters of crystals when you come near them. Now, one thing about the Stoicite and Dowdy Armor Kernel locations in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 – it seems like what you get is pretty random. So, if you don’t find either in the locations we’ve pointed out, you can always reload the map and try again.

The rewards you get for bringing Fox the Armor Kernel and Stoicite the first time one Black Mask and 40 Affinity. You can keep bringing him stuff to earn more XP and increments of Affinity. The Black Mask boosts damage dealt to Terrestrial Life by 50%. It’s not bad, especially in the early stages of the game, but it does fall under the Common rarity and is worth 750 G.
