OSRS Pet the Museum Camp Dog

To pet the museum camp dog in OSRS, or Old School RuneScape, the first step is to set sail for Fossil Island. This is the previous step in the OSRS League 4, so there shouldn’t be too much trouble there. Just follow the separate guide that I just linked; it will walk you through the whole process. Now that you’re on Fossil Island, head to the east from the landing point and go into the tent. The dog is going to be lying on the ground in there. Just interact with the dog and you’ll be just fine. This, I believe, is the final League 4 task to do in the general area of Varrock; the next one will take you to Lumbridge. And by the way, the option to pet this dog was added as “recently” as April 2021.

And there you go, that’s how and where you pet the museum camp dog in OSRS, aka Old School RuneScape. It’s real easy once you know where to go. In fact, this is arguably one of the easiest steps in the whole list of tasks. And when you pet the dog, you get a message in your chatbox that reads: “He stretches out even further on the warm ground.” Good boy. Interestingly, this isn’t the first task that requires you to pet a dog. Quest 40 asks you to pet one of the stray dogs in Varrock, which is basically the same deal. The only difference is that you have to wander the streets until you encounter a stray.
