How to Charm Gertrude in OSRS

In order to charm Gertrude in OSRS, or Old School RuneScape, you first have to get the Ring of Charos. You can get this item by picking the pockets of Dr. Fenkenstrain after completing his quest, Creature of Fenkenstrain. That quest happens in Morytania. Once you have the ring, you need to equip it. If you’re only carrying it in your inventory, that’s not going to be enough. You must have the Ring of Charos equipped for this to work. With all that out of the way, you can now charm Gertrude, which will allow you to choose your kitten’s color. You can only do this after starting the Garden of Tranquility, so keep that in mind. I would also assume that you have to complete the Gertrude’s Cat side quest, too.

And there you go, that’s how you charm Gertrude in OSRS, or Old School RuneScape. Doing this for the first time will complete one of the Varrock Diary tasks. However, you can repeat the process every time you get a new cat from Gertrude. If you are not wearing the Ring of Charos, the color of your feline friend is going to be random, which… you know, not exactly a major loss. By the way, you can only get a new cat once the cat you already have gets to be Overgrown. Or you can store your Normal cat in your house; Gertrude will agree to sell you a kitten then, too. It’ll cost you a hundred Gold to adopt a kitten, and you can only have one kitten at a time. And I believe that’s basically all you need to know.
