Nightingale Best Starting Biome
What is the best starting biome in Nightingale? This is one of the first – and most important – choices that you will need to make at the start of the game. There are three starting areas to choose from. These are: the Forest, the Desert, and the Swamp. You will, of course, be able to visit all three of these eventually, but you are still going to spend a lot of time in the first area you select until you have decent gear. There are differences between these that you need to be aware of, and we are going to cover all of these so that you can make the most informed choice and start in the biome that best suits you and your playstyle.
Which Starter Biome to Choose in Nightingale
When Puck asks you which landscape you will imagine, there are three choices here – a Forest, a Desert, or a Swamp. So let’s start with the Forest. This biome is your standard fairytale forest. Think greenery, waterfalls, and so on. The biggest danger here is the sheer elevation, which can often cause you to fall to your death if you are not careful.
Next up, the Desert. This is a bit more challenging, as you are going to need to take care not to spend too much time in the scorching sunlight. You will often need to dash towards shade until you have your own umbrella which can block out the oppressive heat. And finally, the Swamp. Naturally, it has a lot of water. But beware, the water in the Swamp is going to give you a disease if you stand in it for more than a couple of seconds.
These are the biggest differences between these three. Otherwise, you are going to be doing much of the same activities in each one. If you are looking for a relaxing time, we’d recommend going with the Forest. And if you want more of a challenge, the Swamp is next up in terms of difficulty. As for the Desert, we wouldn’t advise you choosing it as your first biome – at least not until you’ve had the time to familiarize yourselves with Nightingale.
