How to Use Aroma of Focus in Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds

You use the Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds Aroma of Focus item as a consumable, meaning it’s basically an item you use once (or however many times you have) and then it’s gone from your inventory. To do that, tap the “+” sign in the top left corner, and you’ll see the item among a few others. You might need to be in combat for it to show up. More important for us, of course, is what it does once consumed. Well, it keeps you “laser focused” for thirty minutes. What does this mean in practice? It means that you get 700% more Soulstones/Specialties when defeating enemies in Normal Fields. However, there are some inconsistencies and miscommunications here, leading to players wasting their items. Let’s get into that.

Now that we know how to use Aroma of Focus in Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds, here’s how not to use it. For one, even though the item description says it works in both Normal Fields and Chaos Fields, they actually do nothing in the latter at time of writing. Do not waste them on Chaos Fields. Two, this item only boosts the drops of Soustones/Specialties, not Gold, item drops, XP, or anything else. Only use it if grinding Specialties and Soulstones. For other stuff, there are Energy Potions and Sweet Drinks. One last thing to mention is how to get the Aroma of Focus. You can find it in the store, under Basic Shop, in the Potions and Consumables section.
