Magic Legends PS4 Open Beta
Magic Legends is currently in open beta on select platforms, and naturally, people have questions. For example, where will I be able to play the Magic Legends Beta, the release date on PS4 and other places, will it have crossplay, and so on. Things are a little bit complicated, to be honest. We’ll aim to show you the answer to all these questions in our Magic Legends PS4 Open Beta guide.
Magic Legends Beta
The Magic Legends beta is now out on PC, via either the Arc launcher or the Epic Games Store. As for the other platforms, there’s no info at time of writing as to when they are going to begin. I’m not entirely sure why the launch has been staggered in such a manner, but that’s just how the cookie crumbles. In short; if you want to play the game as soon as possible, then the Epic Games Store or the Arc launcher are your only options. Just be sure to note that crossplay is a matter of contention, so keep in mind that you might have to start over if you change platforms.
Magic Legends PS4 Release Date
At the time of writing, there is no known release date for Magic Legends on PS4. In fact, there’s no set launch date for any of the versions; Xbox, PC, nor PlayStation 4. All we do know is that the game is coming out some time this spring. That said, I’ve heard tell that the developers are considering the beta as a sort of soft launch, and they don’t plan on wiping servers. So, we’ll have to wait and see. That said, it does seem like people playing on PC might have a bit of an advantage compared to others, right? How is that going to work with a potential crossplay option? Well, about that…
Magic Legends Crossplay
When it comes to crossplay in Magic Legends, it seems like that’s not gonna be a thing; at least, not at launch. This has been confirmed by the developers on Reddit. Specifically, they said “Unfortunately, there are no plans for console crossplay at this time,” and “…there won’t be cross-progress from PC to console at this time.” One thing to note is that, in both of these statements, we have the “at this time” part. In other words, with any luck, maybe some type of crossplay will exist; however, at the time of writing, and probably at launch, don’t get your hopes up.
