How to Ping in Helldivers 2

To ping in Helldivers 2, the system is pretty much the same on PlayStation 5 and PC. On PS5, you just need to press R1 by default. Obviously, you can switch it to something else in the settings if another button feels better for whatever reason. Ideally, you want to already be looking at the location or enemy you’re trying to ping. On PC, the button you need to press is Q. In fact, you can hold Q and then use your mouse to pick the thing you are trying to point out. Click your mouse to complete the process. How to Mark Locations on the Map in Helldivers 2?

Now that we know how to ping in Helldivers 2, how do you mark locations on the map? You know, if you need a more permanent way to orient yourself and your team. Well, on PC, you need to press Tab to bring up the map. Find the location you want to mark and click it. That’s all there is to it. The process, again, is basically identical on PlayStation. Press the touchpad to open the map, then move the cursor using the joystick. Hit X to place the mark. These will last until you remove them or until you reach them, making them more handy for pointing out “long term goals,” so to speak.
