How To Grab Sea Urchin in Dave the Diver

Dave the Diver is undoubtedly one of the year’s biggest indie hits. As a charming blend of restaurant management sim, exploration game, RPG and action-adventure, this gorgeous pixel-art title packs much more than it might seem at first glance. One of the core gameplay elements is the management of your Sushi restaurant. Not only will you need to take care of the business side of things, but you will also be responsible for procuring the necessary ingredients. And we mean that literally. Namely, you will explore the gorgeous Blue Hole area of the ocean, where many wonders and secrets await you. And that’s where you need to personally catch fish and other seafood.

Among other things early in the game, you will also stumble upon various Sea Urchins, like the purple Sea Urchin. However, how to actually grab these nasty little things? Sea urchins are covered in calcium-filled spines, which pose a nasty threat to your delicate hands. Hence, Dave will not want to touch them with his unprotected hands. So, how to pick up purple Sea Urchin in Dave the Diver? Minor spoilers ahead!

you will need a set of diving gloves. These gloves are not available until later in the game. You will be able to unlock them in Chapter 2 naturally, as a part of the story. Eventually, you will have a mission called “Treat Ramo”. In order to complete this mission, you will need to clear an obstacle that requires Diving Gloves. And for this, Dr Bacon will provide you with the gloves. With them, you will finally be able to pick up Sea Urchins!
