How To Open Green Light Doors Metroid Dread
The newest entry in the Metroid saga – Metroid Dread – is finally out and one of the things that has players stumped is how to open green light doors. These doors have several green lights on them, and are surrounded by green lights on the walls. This has made players assume that all they need to do in order to get them to open is to simply shoot those green spots on the walls. When that turned out not to be the case, many have incorrectly thought that it’s just a matter of speed, and that they need to shoot these quicker. That’s also not what’s required here. If these doors are still giving you trouble, read our How To Open Green Light Doors Metroid Dread guide to find out what you actually have to do to open them.
Metroid Dread – How to Open the Green Light Doors
To be able to open these green light doors, you will first need to have unlocked the Storm Missile upgrade. Like its name suggests, this power will allow you to unleash a volley of missiles that will lock on several points all at once. You will receive this power when you defeat Escue. This particular boss is located in the lower right corner of Ferenia and will drop this once killed. Here’s how to open these specific doors after you have received this upgrade power. First, go and stand in front of a green light door you want to get opened. Next, hold the R button to start charging up the Storm Missile ability.
What you need to do now is to use your free aim and cover all the green switches in the room. The number of these switches corresponds to the number of green lights on the door itself. When you have aimed at each one an aiming cursor icon will appear over it, indicating that it is now marked. After covering all the switches, press the Y button to release all the missiles at once and open the green light door.
