How to Catch Pals in Palworld
Before we explain how to increase your catch rate in Palworld, let’s explain what you need to do in order to actually catch Pals. The first step is to get your hands on some Pal Spheres. This is the game’s equivalent of PokeBalls. You can craft these and find them by exploring the open world. Once you have one, and are near a Pal, you need to go into what we’ll call Catching Mode. Press and hold Q on PC (not sure what it is on consoles, the tutorial will tell you) to aim your Sphere, then release Q to throw it. Now, there is a chance that you won’t be successful, even if you score a direct hit. In that case, the Sphere will be destroyed, and you have to try again. How to Increase Catch Rate in Palworld
There are basically two ways to increase your catch rate in Palworld. The first one is to weaken the Pal you’re trying to grab. This is risky, because you can accidentally kill them. So, be careful when doing that. Method #2 is to craft / find more powerful Pal Spheres. There are six levels of them: regular, Mega Spheres, Giga Spheres, Hyper Spheres, Ultra Spheres and Legendary Spheres. The higher the tier, the easier it is to catch a Pal with it. So, if you have some really high-level Spheres, save them for the trickier creatures.
The third and final method is more permanent. What you have to do is collect Lifmunk Effigies. Those are the green statue-looking things. We’ve given you an example of one of them in the image below. The next step is to build a Statue of Power (unlocks at Technology Level 6, recipe costs two Points, requires twenty Stones and ten Paldium Fragments) or find one while exploring. You can then offer the Limfunk Effigies you’ve gathered to the Statue to permanently increase your Capture Power.
