How to Get Honeycomb in Minecraft 1.19
As we all know, bees are among the most important creatures on Earth. Not only do they pollinate many types of plants – including flowers – but they also produce one of the sweetest natural substances – honey. Because of this, it was only a matter of time before bees, beehives, and honeycombs were added to Minecraft. But, just like in real life, getting honey from bees is not at all easy, and this is also the case in Minecraft as well. So how to get Honeycomb in Minecraft 1.19? That’s what we’re here to answer.
How to Make Honeycomb in Minecraft 1.19
To begin with, you are going to need to find a Bee Nest or a Beehive. There’s very little difference between the two, apart from the bee nest being natural, and the beehive crafted. In any case, the bee nests can be found in the Plains, Flower Forest, and Sunflower Plains biomes. There, they are going to be hanging from a birch or oak tree. It’s also important that there are flowers in the vicinity of that beehive. After all, bees need to have flowers in order to make honey and honeycombs. Next, the beehive needs to be at Honey Level 5 if you want to be able to get honeycomb from it.
The next step requires that you make sure that the bees don’t attack you. Dig a few blocks directly beneath the beehive and place a campfire underneath it. The bees will now go into the beehive. All that’s left now is to right-click on it using shears. And if you are wondering how to craft honeycomb, the answer is – you can’t. But what you can do is to use the honeycomb you have collected from these wild bee nests and some planks to craft your very own beehives. The crafting recipe for this is: x3 Honeycomb and x6 Planks.
