What are Signature Cards in Hearthstone
Signature Cards are a new type of cosmetics introduced with the March of the Lich King expansion on December 6th, 2022. Just like the Golden or Diamond versions of cards, these cards have no extra gameplay value attached to them. Instead, they are purely aesthetic. Unlike Diamond cards, which are all a variety of Legendary cards, Signatures can also be non-legendary cards. Here are other important facts about Signature cards:
- They feature alternative card art.
- The theme and look of Signature Cards will differ for each new expansion. In the March of the Lich King expansion they have a bleak and cold theme.
- There is a 1 in 181 chance to open one in regular packs.
- Furthermore, there are Special Golden Signature packs with improved drop rates:
- On average, you’ll receive one Signature Legendary card for every 7 packs you open.
- You’ll get one Golden Legendary card for every 20 packs you open on average.
- On average, you’ll find one Golden Epic card for every 5 packs you open.
In the March of the Lich King expansion, there will be 18 Signature cards in total. There are three non-Legendary Signature cards and 15 Legendary. Some you will be able to earn through the new Tavern Pass. The non-Legendary ones you can obtain via the March of the Lich King launch event. Finally, for some, you’ll have to get lucky and open them in packs.
Can you disenchant Signature Cards for Dust?
You can not craft Signature cards or disenchanted them. Thus, they have no Dust value. Once you get them, that’s it. However, developers have recently introduced improved duplicate protection. If you get a Signature, Diamond, or Golden version of a card which can not be disenchanted, you will be offered to re-roll another version of that card you may own. You can re-roll it into a different card of the same rarity and quality from the same set, which you don’t already own.
