EFT Gunsmith Part 1 - Escape From Tarkov 12.11

The Gunsmith Part 1 used to be a pretty simple and easy-to-do quest in Escape From Tarkov, but now, with EFT update 0.12.11, it’s become very, very hard to complete. So hard, in fact, that players are even restarting the game in order to try to finish it. The issue stems from Jaeger selling off his stock too quickly and you need some of the items he sells for this quest. There doesn’t seem to be a reliable timeframe for his restocking, so players are – understandably – irritated because of this. To help you complete this quest, we’ve put together this EFT Gunsmith Part 1 – Escape From Tarkov 12.11 guide. Odds are good that this quest will be changed or fixed in a subsequent patch, but if you are wondering how to complete it now – keep on reading.

How To Complete The Gunsmith Part 1 in Escape From Tarkov 12.11

To begin with, you need to be at least Level 2. You get “The Gunsmith Part 1” quest from Sergey Arsenyevich Samoylov (aka – The Mechanic). This will then unlock Kharitonov Ivan Egorovich (aka – Jaeger) who sells the items you need to assemble an MP-133. These items are:

  • MP-133 Shotgun from Jaeger – requires Loyalty Level 1.
  • NcSTAR Tactical blue laser LAM-Module from Skier – requires Loyalty Level 1.
  • Remington Tactical Choke 12ga from Skier – requires Loyalty Level 2.
  • Custom plastic MP-133 forestock with mounts from Jaeger – requires Loyalty Level 2.
  • KAC Vertical pistol grip from Peacekeeper – requires Loyalty Level 1.

Since only the Jaeger items are currently problematic, we will focus on those. Besides waiting for him to restock, there are two other ways you can get these items. The first one is to buy them at the Flea Market. However, you need to be at least Level 20 to use the FM. The other, more practical way is to get them during raids. But, something that you will need to be careful about is the Durability of these items you get in raids. In order to be able to complete the quest, the assembled MP-133 needs to have a Durability of 60 or more. So, if you have parts that are low in Durability, fix them up first. This can be done either by Prapor (who repairs cheaply, but not as good), or by the Mechanic (his repairs are more expensive, but higher quality).

If these conditions are met, you will be able to complete Gunsmith Part 1. We hope that our EFT Gunsmith Part 1 – Escape From Tarkov 12.11 guide has been of assistance and that you have now completed this quest. Happy gaming!
