FIFA 22 Crossplay, How to Play With Friends
Playing videogames, especially competitive ones such as sports games, with (and against) your friends is one of the best things about gaming. However, in the past, you were limited to only playing with people that had that game on the same gaming device as you. So, if you bought a game for the Xbox and a friend purchased the same one on the PlayStation, you couldn’t play the game together. Luckily, things have changed, thanks to the cross-play feature, which allows players to connect and play with each other regardless of the systems they own the game on. FIFA 22 is set to get crossplay soon, and we are here to explain how to enable it so that you can play it with your friends.
How to Play With Friends FIFA 22 Crossplay Test
Before we explain how to do this, we first need to point out a couple of things about the FIFA 22 Crossplay Test itself. The first of these is that this test is (at least for now) available only on the following platforms: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Stadia. Besides this, another limitation is that it is available only in the Online Seasons and Online Friendlies game modes. Again, once the test concludes and there are no problems, it will be expanded to other game modes as well.
If you meet these prerequisites, let’s see how you can enable the crossplay function so that you can use it. Once the Crossplay update has finished being downloaded, the next time you start the game, you will notice a new widget in the bottom right corner of the screen. Press this and you will then get the option to enable or disable the crossplay feature. It’s that simple, and there isn’t anything else you need to do. You can see how this matchmaking option looks like in the screenshot below.
