OSRS Dusty Key, Unlock a Gate in Taverley Dungeon

Before we explain how to use it to unlock a gate in Taverley Dungeon in Old School RuneScape, we first have to show you how to get the Dusty Key in OSRS. The item is actually in Taverley Dungeon, which is nice, because you don’t have to go looking for it too far. Head to the southern part of the dungeon, to the quarters of Kinshra, aka the Black Knight. Head through the narrow passageway in the east of that area, and soon enough, you’ll come face to face with the Jailer. They are a level 47 enemy, and once beaten, they drop the Jail Key. Open the door in the south of the jail and talk to Velrak the Explorer. Do not ask for a reward, and you’ll get the Dusty Key.

Now that you have the OSRS Dusty Key, it’s time to unlock a gate in Taverley Dungeon in Old School RuneScape and complete the Trailblazer Reloaded quest. We’ll get to that in a second; we first have to tell you that you can drop the Dusty Key and then go get another from Velrak. I highly recommend you get a few of them, just in case you die beyond the gate. If push comes to shove, you can purchase Dusty Keys from the third floor of the Legends’ Guild if you’ve completed the Legends’ Quest. As for the gate itself, it’s fairly easy to find. It’s the gate that bars you from accessing the entire second half of the dungeon. That’s what the Dusty Key opens.
