The Dead Island 2 release date and time is coming closer and closer, and I’m sure people will want to know when they can start playing it. Well, that’s what we’ll be covering in this guide. We’ll talk about when you can dive into Dead Island 2 on each platform, as far as the available information will let us.
Dead Island 2 Release Date and Time
The release date of Dead Island 2 is April 21st, 2023, but the time is still pretty much unknown. We know that the game will be available on PC (via the Epic Games Store), Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. No mention of a Switch version at time of writing. But I digress; what time will you be able to play Dead Island 2? Let’s try and break it down. The PlayStation store lists the launch time as midnight ET, which means it will come out at 9 PM PT on April 20th. On the other side of the pond, that translates to 5 AM British Time / 6 AM Central European Time / 1 PM Korean and Japanese Time / 2 PM AEST, and so on. You can do your own math from there.
As for the release date and time of Dead Island 2 on PC and Xbox, we have no idea at time of writing. Neither the Xbox Store nor the Epic listing have a counter or anything like that. Now, conventional wisdom tells us that the launch time will likely on Xbox will likely be the same as on PlayStation, and Epic will probably have a rolling midnight launch. However, those are just assumptions on my part. We’ll just have to wait and see how it shakes out.
