How to Beat Balteus Armored Core 6
The first step to beat Balteus in Armored Core 6 or AC6 is to assemble your loadout. Ideally, you want to have HI-16: GU-Q1 on both arms and two VP-60LCS on the back. As for the frame, the HD-011 MELANDER or DF-HD-08 TIAN-QIANG should work well on the head. On the chest, use DF-BD-08 TIAN-QIANG. For the arms, you can go with AC-2000 TOOL ARMs. Lastly, for the legs, you want something that’s reverse-jointed or the FD-LG-08 TIAN-QIANG. The booster should be the BUERZEL 21D, the battery VP-20S or VP-20D, and the FCS-G2/P05. There are alternatives to all these; basically, you want to go for a lot of AP while staying light for maneuverability and pack a lot of DPS.
As for the fight itself, it’s all a matter of dodging Balteus’s attacks and out-DPSing him. There’s no way to make the fight easy, and it will take you some practice. I wish you the best of luck. Speaking of dodging, though…
How to Dodge Balteus Missiles
There are basically two ways that you can try to dodge the missiles Balteus wills shoot at you in Armored Core 6. Of course, I’m talking specifically about the missile salvo that Balteus tends to open the fight with; the barrage that sometimes goes in a vertical line and other times surrounds you with a cloud of death. Other attacks are easier to evade, so we won’t be focusing on those. Now, the first way to avoid the salvo is to get some distance, then dash to either side just as they’re converging on you. Your timing really has to be on point, though.
The second method is to use Assault Burst and rush straight towards the boss while dodging left and right to confuse the rockets further. You might get clipped by a couple of the missiles, but that’s far preferable to the alternative. The barrage hurts a lot.
