Apex Legends Not Launching Steam 2022 Fix
Apex Legends won’t launch on Steam? When the massively popular battle royale was finally released on Steam, the game has become even more popular. Every day hundreds of thousands of players battle across the Outlands for glory and bragging rights. With so many active players, some problems are bound to happen occasionally. One of the most common issues is that Apex Legends simply won’t start on Steam. If you’re experiencing this issue, here’s what you can do to fix it.
How to Fix Apex Legends Not Launching Steam 2022
If Apex Legends is crashing or not launching on Steam, there might be a couple of reasons why is this happening. This problem emerges from time to time for seemingly no particular reason after big updates. The latest such issue has been reported by many players in June 2022. They would try to lunch the game, and the starting loading screen would appear, but it will only stay like that in an infinite loop.
Players would either be stuck on the loading screen or the EASY Anti-Cheat screen. Why is this happening and how can you fix this annoying issue? The good news is that developers are working on fixing it, but until they fix it, what can you do? Thankfully, there is a workaround.
The community has identified the issue. It has to do with custom reticles. If you have a custom reticle, that’s most likely the cause of this problem. Thus, in order to remove the problem and start the game, you must disable any custom reticles you have. In order to do this, follow these steps:
- Open Steam and find Apex Legends
- Right-lick on the Apex icon in your Steam library
- Select Properties
- Head to the General tab
- In the Launch Options section remove any parameters related to reticle colour
Players suffering from the Apex Legends not launching bug have reported that the problem is gone after they have removed custom reticles. However, keep in mind that this is only related to the latest problem following the 13.1 update on June 21st.
Thanks this worked!
