Apex Legends Loading Screen Stuck - Infinite Loading Screen
Since the last update, a number of people have been having issues with Apex Legends not loading. They get stuck with an infinite loading screen, unable to even get into the game proper. There are several things you could try if this happens to you, but none of them are guaranteed to work. Read on for our suggestions on how to fix the Apex Legends loading screen stuck problem.
Apex Legends not loading
If you’re stuck in the loading screen, there are several things you could try. A number of people have reported the following method showing results:
- Disconnect from the internet while you’re in the loading screen, around 4 seconds in.
- When it allows you into the lobby, connect to the internet again and quickly collect all rewards.
If it doesn’t work on the first try, give it several more. You can try launching through the other client, as well – Steam if you’re using Origin regularly, or Origin if you’re playing via Steam. Another easy thing that could help is flushing your DNS. Open up the command prompt, type in “ipconfig /flushdns” (without the quotation marks) and hit enter.
Some say that creating an alt account also solves this problem, but you won’t have access to your skins and stuff that way.
As a last resort, you can try unlinking your Apex Legends account from your Steam account and tie it to a new one. You’ll need to make a new account on Steam, then head to the link you used to link them the first time around (it’s going to have “https://accounts.respawn.com/steam_login.php?securityToken” in the url, so just copy this into the address bar and autocomplete should do the rest). Once you’ve linked the new Steam account, you should be able to start playing. Save the address in case you want to link it to your original account again.
