The first major Apex Legends event in 2024 is here! The latest crossover event brings the iconic characters and weapons from FF VII to the world of Apex Legends. In total, players will be able to unlock 36 unique, FFVII-inspired cosmetic items, including skins for Wattson, Crypto, Wraith, and other Legends. And while fans almost universally agree that the event is a success in terms of content, it has also arrived with some rather annoying technical issues. Namely, a number of players are having constant crashes in Apex after the FFVII event update.

The bad news is that there’s not much you can currently do about it. Namely, this is a bug that needs to be fixed by the developers. However, the good news is that Respawn is aware of the issue. They have listed these crashes in their Trello board. Therefore, we expect them to fix the issue. It seems that these Apex crashes after FF VII event update are related to DX12 and older Intel CPUs.
