How to Fix Alan Wake 2 Audio Lost, Sound Issues?

As far as we can tell, the best (and only) fix for the Alan Wake sound issues and the bug where audio is lost is to restart the console. Well, I mean, you can also try restarting just the game first. That can help, but there’s no guarantee for it. On the flip side, according to Reddit, restarting the console does reliably fix the problem. I know, it’s not the most practical of solutions, but hey, at least it’s something. You don’t have to mess around with the settings or anything like that. Now, we don’t know whether the problem repeats itself after you shut the game off for a longer while and then start playing again. If it does, just restart the console again.

So, yeah, that’s how you fix the audio lost bug and the sound issues in Alan Wake 2. As we’ve said up top, the problem seems to mostly crop up on Xbox Series X. I have no idea why. There are also problems with the lip syncing, and the restart unfortunately doesn’t help there. It appears like you’ll have to wait for a patch that will fix the syncing. That said, the mismatched lip movements only add to the camp value for me. I really hope they don’t fix it, because it gives the vibe of a dubbed seventies Italian horror movie. Be that as it may, if you have found a better workaround or fix for either the lip sync thing or the audio dropping out, let us know in the comments.
