GTA Online Wildlife, Animals Update
The new wildlife and animals update in GTA Online adds a whole bunch of new things to the game, but the most interesting aspect are all the wild animals. And only a decade after launch! Small potatoes, really! Let’s find out more about it, shall we?
Animals in GTA Online Wildlife Update
Yes, a full ten years after launching, GTA Online has finally gotten animals roaming around in the new wildlife update. Well, I call it that; the actual Name is Chop Shop, and it includes other stuff, like new cars and the battle rifle. But the biggest difference in terms of the overall world of GTA Online are all the different wild animals you’ll be able to encounter (and probably hunt). These include boars, coyotes, deer, rabbits, mountain lions, and more. Oh, and there’s also birds, and even aquatic animals (whales, dolphins, sharks, stingrays, etc). It’s a whole new world out there, especially in the ocean, which will no longer be a lonely void.
When Will PC Get Animals Update in GTA Online?
At time of writing, there is zero indication as to when the PC version of GTA Online is going to get an update that will feature animals and wildlife. I understand why they didn’t implement it on old-gen consoles; the PS4 and the Xbox One probably don’t have the juice necessary to pull it off. I assume, I don’t know. But PCs? I’m pretty sure most dedicated gamers have a rig that can at least stand shoulder to shoulder with the PS5 and the Xbox Series X/S. Whatever the case may be, you can only hope that Rockstar are using new-gen consoles to test the wildlife out before they roll it out on PC. We’ll have to wait and see how it all shakes out.
