GTA Online Vapid Retinue Mk II

As I’ve said up top, the Vapid Retinue Mk2 is in the Sports Classics category. It’s a two-door, two-seat coupe based on the Ford Escort Mark II, which was especially popular during the seventies and early eighties. As a result, the Vapid Retinue Mk II in GTA Online looks pretty boxy, but with that undeniable charm of seventies sports cars. If you like that kind of aesthetic, then that’s a done deal already. However, how does it actually perform?

Well, according to the GTA Wiki entry, it’s pretty dang good. With a top speed of around 120.50 mph, or 194 kmh, it is slightly above average for the Sports Classics category. Its acceleration is relatively average, but it does boast good handling and breaking, even if it does tend to wheelspin if you’re not careful. Also, apparently, if you attack corners too aggressively, you might end up tipping it on two wheels, or even rolling over.

Now, you can also buy the GTA Online Vapid Retinue Mk2 at Southern San Andreas Super Autos for $1,620,000. Is it worth that kind of money? That’s a matter of personal preference, but objectively, probably not. On the other hand, is it worth spinning the Lucky Wheel for? I’d say yes, as long as you don’t get carried away.
