Tyr's Vault Nornir Rune Chest Puzzle Solution in God of War

Tyr’s Vault is a large area in God of War. It’s filled with things to find, including a Nornir Rune Chest. The Nornir Rune Chest in Tyr’s Vault can be opened like all the others. However, while solving the Nornir chest puzzle in Tyr’s Vault, you’ll have to be wary of the many traps. Plus, the runes are tough to find. Since this puzzle can easily prove to be a problem, we’ver written this guide on how to solve Nornir Chest Puzzle in God of War Tyr’s Vault.

How to Open God of War Tyr’s Vault Chest?

To open the runic Nornir chest in Tyr’s Vault, you have to find and destroy the three runes locking it, like with all others. You can access the Rune Chest after solving the Wolf puzzle in Tyr’s Vault. The three runes are not far away, but they are fairly well-hidden. The other main problem is that you’ll constantly have to keep your eyes on the spikes and other hazards that will instantly kill you if you get in their way.

You can access the chest after you’ve freed the Black Rune. You can now explore the vault as you wish. Go into the treasure room with the large wheel to the north. Right across from the entrance, you’ll find a room with spikes going sideways, left to right. The chest itself is right behind them. One of the spiked blocks has one of those gears you can freeze, so use that to align the spikes in such a way that you can pass through.

To find the first rune, turn around. Use the axe to freeze the mechanism to make the spiked blocks hit one after the other. You’ll notice the first rune hiding on the farther block. Time the axe throw to destroy it. For the second rune, go back to the treasure room with the wheel, the one that leads into the room with the chest itself. Look at the wall shelf left of the room with the spinning blades to find the rune. Lastly, head into the room with the spiked blocks going up and down. As the closest block comes down, look up and to the right to find the last rune. Then, simply return to the chest and open it.

The Nornir Rune Chest in Tyr’s Vault rewarded us with a Symbol of Concentration. Not much in terms of reward, I suppose, but not bad.
