God of War Still Topping UK Sales Chart, Four Weeks in a Row

For four weeks in a row, God of War has been keeping the first place in the UK sales chart. It has overtaken The Last of Us: Remastered, which spent three weeks in the top spot. This basically makes it the best-selling PlayStation 4 game; at least as far as the UK sales chart is concerned.

God of War Still Topping UK Sales Chart, Four Weeks in a Row

God of War has returned with quite a vengeance. It is selling boatloads, and with good reason. It’s a really, really excellent game, bordering on fantastic. It has gathered a mind-blowing amount of perfect scores from so many outlets, and the gaming audience adores it too; BOI memes and all. And, as I’ve already said, a lot of people have bought God of War, and I do mean a lot. It sold over three million copies in only three days.

As a result, it has now spent four consecutive weeks at the top of the UK sales chart. It is the first PlayStation 4 game to achieve this, dethroning The Last of Us: Remastered, which spent three weeks in the top spot. For the sake of comparison, The Last of Us on PS3 has spent six consecutive weeks as number one, and Gran Turismo 3 on the PS2 spent eight weeks in pole position. If the current trend continues, God of War might just overtake at least one of them.

In second place on the UK sales chart, we have Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. Following that, we have Far Cry 5, FIFA 18, and Fallout 4, in third, fourth, and fifth place, respectively. In sixth place is Mario Kart 8: Deluxe, and LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 is in seventh. The last three places belong to Assassin’s Creed Origins, GTA V (because of course) and Destiny 2, probably due to the launch of the Warmind DLC.
