God of War How to Upgrade Blades of Chaos - Why Fight It Trophy
Blades of Chaos are Kratos’ signature weapon, and they’ve made a return in the new God of War game. You get them pretty late in the game, and a lot of players are wondering how to upgrade them, where to find Chaos Flames and how to get the Raging Inferno of Muslepheim. That last one is used to purchase the final upgrade for the weapon, so it’s pretty essential. When you’ve unlocked its full potential, you’ll get the Why Fight It trophy. In this guide, we’re going to show you how to upgrade Blades of Chaos in God of War, so you can become your best Spartan self.
Where to find Chaos Flames?
Once you’ve unlocked the Blades of Chaos, the mysterious second weapon, you’ll want to start enhancing it. For that, you’ll need an upgrade material called Chaos Flame. There’s only a handful of them in the game, and you’ll get them all while playing the story missions. They’ll drop from some difficult enemies, and if you fail to scoop them up, they’ll magically end up in the shop, in the far right tab.
This will only get you to level four, though. For the final upgrade, you’ll need to buy a Chaos Flame from the dwarves. To do this, you’ll need a unique item called Raging Inferno of Muspelheim, which can be exchanged for the last Chaos Flame
Using up the last flame will push the blades up to level five, which is as high as they’ll go. Once you’ve performed this final upgrade, you’ll unlock the Why Fight It trophy, which will make you one step closer to that coveted platinum. You can also upgrade the Leviathan Axe for an easy trophy, but for that you’ll need Frozen Flames.
thanks
I have my Chaos Blades at lvl 4 and I have my raging inferno of muspelheim, but I still cannot buy the last chaos flame, the option isn’t there when I visit the shop. Is this a bug, or have I not progressed the story far enough?
Same issue 🙁 I have beaten the Valkyrie and have the inferno , but dwarfs are not selling chaos flame… whats going on?
Have you completed the game (main story line), I think it becomes available only at that point?
Nope
