God of War Darkness & Fog Trophy - How to Get Workshop Treasure

Darkness & Fog is one of the trophies in God of War. It’s a gold trophy, and the description says you’ll get it after you retrieve all the treasure from the chests in the central chamber of Ivaldi’s Workshop in Niflheim. However, the description is wrong. Terribly, terribly wrong. There’s more to this achievement than meets the eye, which is why it’s not a simple bronze one. In this guide, we’re going to show you how to unlock Darkness & Fog trophy in God of War.

How to unlock Darkness & Fog trophy?

Either the description is wrong/misleading, or there’s a bug, but simply going into the central chamber and opening the legendary chests you find there won’t be enough. Clearing the surrounding rooms and looting the Nornir chests also doesn’t help. In order to be one hundred percent certain you’ll unlock the Darkness & Fog trophy, you’ll have to clear out the entire realm of Niflheim.

You’ll have to loot the chests, there’s no doubt about that. But you’ll also have to defeat the Valkyrie boss – you’ll find her in one of the surrounding chambers. She’s pretty hard to miss. You’ll also have to complete three favours obtained from the dwarf manning the shop. Finally, you’ll have to close the three realm tears in the central chamber. All of this requires a whole bunch of Mist Echose, which means you’ll have to run the gauntlet more than once.

It shouldn’t be too much of a bother, as you definitely should get Niflheim armor before you face the Valkyrie (Sigrun particularly), which means you’ll probably want to clean out this realm anyway.
