God of War Ragnarok Zeus Armor

The God of War Ragnarok Zeus armor is a new set of armor that you can earn in New Game Plus. Like in the previous God of War, this armor greatly increases your Melee and Runic damage, but also increases the damage of incoming attacks. How to Get Zeus Armor in God of War Ragnarok

You get the Zeus armor in God of War Ragnarok by “defeating Gná the Valkyrie Queen and completing certain Remnants of Asgard on a NG+ save.” That’s from the PlayStation Blog post announcing the New Game Plus mode. That’s not a lot to go on, but it’s what we’ve got at the moment. We’ll add further details once we manage to push far enough through the game. However, if this is how you actually obtain the armor, I have words. For one, you must beat the game once and start a NG+ save to even get a shot at the armor. That’s fine; that was true about the Zeus armor in God of War 2018. My problem lies in the other part.

So, in order to get the Zeus armor in God of War Ragnarok by beating Gná and clearing out some Remnants of Asgard. That is what bothers me. This means that you can’t get the armor during the main story at all. That is still something I’m willing to overlook, but having to defeat Gná? She is pretty much the final boss of the entire game. The only other enemy that comes even close is King Hrolf. So, what’s the point of having an armor whose whole point is turning you into a frightening glass cannon if you’ve already likely cleared out everything else? That just sounds like a bummer to me. I guess we’ll have to wait and see how it plays out.
