Dauntless Shield or Stone Wall Shield Choice in God of War Ragnarok
While Kratos is definitely best known for his aggressive style of combat, this doesn’t mean that he ignores defense altogether. His iconic Guardian Shield is the best example of this. Given to Kratos by his dear departed wife, it is unfortunately broken very early on in God of War Ragnarok. Kratos then has to make a choice between one of two replacement shields. These are the Dauntless Shield and the Stone Wall Shield. Both have their pros and their cons, and – at this point – you can only choose one of them. So which is the better Shield choice in God of War Ragnarok, the Dauntless Shield or the Stone Wall Shield? We’re here to help you decide.
God of War Ragnarok Dauntless Shield or Stone Wall Shield Choice
Once you arrive at Sindri’s House, Brok will offer to help you fix up your busted-up shield. And, in the meantime, he will help you craft a new shield. There are two shields he can make, though he currently has the materials to craft only one. This means that you will need to choose which shield you want. You can either select the Dauntless Shield or the Stone Wall Shield. Let’s see the Stone Wall Shield first. True to its name, this is a big and cumbersome tower shield. It’s perfect for absorbing attacks and then redirecting them back at your foes in the form of an AoE blast. It is a much more “traditional” shield, so choose it if you want something that will reliably soak up damage.
Next, the Dauntless Shield. This is a much smaller shield, and its playstyle focuses on fast parries. As such, it can be extremely effective if used properly, but it can also leave you exposed if you mistime your parry. If you enjoy a high-risk, high-reward playstyle, then the Dauntless Shield could be just what you are looking for.
