Ghost Recon Wildlands Narco Road DLC Expansion Trailer is Live

The first expansion paid DLC for Ghost Recon Wildlands, called Narco Road, is now live for all season pass owners. No worries, you’ll be able to buy it individually starting April 25th. In the trailer for Narco Road DLC, we learn that the team has to infiltrate the Santa Blanca cartel, move up in the ranks, and dismantle the organization from the inside.

Ubisoft recently released a trailer for the Ghost Recon Wildlands Narco Road DLC. This is the first expansion DLC for the game, with another one further down the pipeline. As we learn from the trailer, your mission this time will be to directly infiltrate the Santa Blanca cartel. You need to earn the trust of the crime bosses and climb up the organization’s ladder until you get to El Invisible (yes, really) and destroy the cartel from within.

What’s interesting about Narco Road is the stark contrast from the main Ghost Recon Wildlands. The main game is your bog-standard sneaky-shooty kind of affair we expect form a Tom Clancy game. Interestingly, the DLC doesn’t want anything to do with that, it seems. Instead, it looks like it’s all shooting down helicopters, ramping flashy cars and living the criminal life. It looks a lot like… well, like GTA, to be brutally honest.

Don’t believe me? Here are some of the features that the official website touts:

• New missions and challenges – Tackle more than 15 new campaign missions and challenges including jumps to drifts and motorbike trials using your new vehicles.
• New bosses and structure – Meet three new charismatic bosses and gain enough fame and followers to earn their trust and make your way up to El Invisible.
• New vehicles and features – Speed through Bolivia in four new types of vehicles. You’ll also be able to find some special vehicles equipped with surprises of their own. All of these new vehicles have new handling specificities and require new driving skills.
• New costumes and weapons – Get into the flashy narco life right from the start with four new exclusive outfits and nine exclusive weapons that will allow you to blend in.

The Narco Road DLC is already available for season pass holders. Those who prefer to pruchase their DLC separately will be able to do so starting on April 25th.
