Ghost Recon Breakpoint Uplay Plus Beta Activation Key Required
Ghost Recon Breakpoint beta is underway, but some players are having trouble. A lot of folks who are supposed to get beta access via their Uplay Plus subscription, with no additional charge, are being asked for activation keys. It’s stopping those affected from playing the beta, and they’re obviously unhappy about it. This guide will try to help you get around your issue and avoid the Ghost Recon Breakpoint Uplay plus beta activation key required error.
Activation key required error in Ghost Recon Breakpoint beta
According to Ubisoft, the only ways to get into the Breakpoint beta are by either preordering the game, or subscribing to their newly-released Uplay Plus service. Since they’re offering it for free until October, a lot of people are interested. A number of people have complained about how they’ve added the Breakpoint beta to their account, but were met with an error message when trying to download. It just said “activation key required”.
The good news is that it’s a known issue – people have gotten in touch with Ubisoft’s support, and were told it should be working. Hopefully someone is on it and we’ll get an update for either the game or the service that should allow everyone in. In the meantime, you could try all the usual – restart your computer, reinstall the Uplay client, run it as an administrator. If none of those help, you’ll just have to hold tight and hope Ubisoft’s engineers get to the bottom of this before the beta ends, which should be on Monday.
If not, well – at least you didn’t pay for it. It’s a way to get access to the beta for free, so even if it turns out it doesn’t work, at least the loss will only be emotional.
