How to Unlock Yelan’s Story Quest Genshin Impact

To unlock the Genshin Impact Yelan story quest, called Umbrabilis Orchis Chapter, you need to meet several prerequisites, as we’ve said. First of all, you must be Adventure Rank 40 or above before you can play this content. On top of that, you also have to complete Ganyu’s story quest called “Sinae Unicornus Chapter; Act I – Sea of Clouds, Sea of People,” and the new Archon quest called “Interlude Chapter: Act II – Perilous Trail.” The latter will be available starting on June 1st or June 2nd, depending on your time zone. Last, but certainly not least, you’ll need a Story Key. So, that’s quite the laundry list of requirements, but hey.

So, yeah, those are the prerequisites to unlock Yelan’s story quest, Umbrabilis Orchis Chapter, in Genshin Impact. At the time of writing, the necessary Archon quest is not even in the game yet, which is a bit of a bummer. On the bright side, that means that you have some leeway to complete Ganyu’s story quest and obtain at least one Story Key. Reminder: you can earn those by completing Daily Commissions. To be more precise, you earn one Key for finishing eight Daily Commissions. This feature unlocks at Adventure Rank 26. In other words, if you’re not a high enough rank to earn the Keys, it’ll be quite a while before you can get to Umbranilis Orchis. Luckily, Yelan’s quest will be permanently available, so you don’t have to worry about missing out.
