How to Use Genshin Impact Cage-Shaped Object to Destroy Bedrock Keys

To use the cage-shaped object to destroy Bedrock Keys in Genshin Impact, you have to go through several steps, which the game does kind of a bad job of explaining, as we’ve already established. Before we lay the steps out, though, a word of advice: take at least one Geo character with you that you’ll be using to complete these puzzles. Any of them will do. It’s not necessary, but it’ll help things along. Anyway, here’s a play-by-play of what you need to do.

  1. Find and destroy a Geogranum rock and take the Geogranum. Those are the big, jagged rocks that glow yellow from the inside.
  2. Take the Geogranum to one of the cages to light them up. The “cages” are basically two floating bowl-shaped rocks with nothing between them. When you approach one of them with a Geogranum, it will slot into that empty space.
  3. Hit the charged cage towards the Bedrock Key. By that, I mean get behind the cage so that you’re facing the floating obelisk, then strike the cage. If you’ve done it right, a yellow beam will hit the Key, and it will come down a level.

So, that’s how you use the cage-shaped object to destroy Bedrock Keys in Genshin Impact. Once you lower the Key, you’ll have to find the next cage and repeat the process. Just keep in mind that you have to hit the cage in the direction of the Key, or else it won’t work. This can be tricky sometimes, like in the shack, so just be patient. Take your time, figure out which way the Key is, and do the thing. Check out our video if you need more help.
